Gather
come together as caregivers — to be seen, to be known, and to begin weaving something stronger
Memphis, Tennessee
Gather is not a program.
It is not a support group in the way you’ve known them.
It is a space where caregivers come together to tell the truth about their lives —
and to recognize one another in it.
We share stories.
We breathe.
We sit inside the complexity without needing to solve it.
And something begins to shift.
Caregivers of children with complex needs are often separated by diagnosis.
Medical.
Behavioral health.
Disability.
Addiction.
But the systems that serve us — or fail us —
have far more in common than they acknowledge.
So we gather
to see what we have in common.
To recognize that the knowledge we carry
is not isolated —
it’s collective.
Each gathering is a little different, but rooted in the same rhythm:
• Guided conversation
• Story-sharing in small, human ways
• Space to breathe — sometimes literally
• Moments of reflection and recognition
• Increasingly, opportunities to create
You do not need to prepare anything.
You do not need to perform anything.
You only need to come as you are.
Our Next Gathering
April 26
Shapeshifter Art School
This gathering will include a hands-on workshop
where we begin transforming the materials of caregiving
into something new.
No art experience needed.
We’ll learn by doing — just like we always have.
